The Zero-Logging Guarantee
MultiType Keyboard (package: app.multitype.keyboard) operates 100% offline. We do not collect, transmit, store, or sell any of your keystrokes, personal messages, passwords, or financial credentials.
1. Information We Do NOT Collect
Unlike conventional cloud-connected keyboards, MultiType does not monitor your private activity:
- No Keystroke Data: We never log letters, numbers, symbols, or gestures typed by the user.
- No Sensitive Fields: When typing in password or payment fields, prediction is automatically suspended.
- No Personal Identifiers: We do not collect phone numbers, IMEI, advertising IDs, or contact lists.
- No Cloud Dictation: Voice inputs or typed audio remain purely between you and your device.
2. Local Device Storage
MultiType Keyboard maintains your user settings locally on your Android device:
- User Custom Dictionary: When you save a custom word, it is stored in your private Android sandbox. It is never synchronized to external servers.
- Preferences & Themes: Selected keyboard theme, key height, sound feedback, and vibration settings are saved locally.
3. Android System Warning Notice
When enabling MultiType (or any third-party keyboard) in Android Settings, the operating system displays a default security dialog warning that keyboards can collect personal data.
This is a standard Android OS prompt displayed for all input method editors (IMEs). MultiType operates strictly within the security boundaries of Android and does not use network permissions to transmit your inputs.
4. Website (multitype.app) Privacy
When visiting our website, basic access logs (e.g. IP hash, requested page URL, browser user agent) are processed on our server for security maintenance and aggregate download counts. We do not use intrusive third-party cross-site trackers or ad networks.
